His involvement in Boston's Campaign for Christ helped equip the four area Churches to work together in harmony to build the Lord's kingdom in Boston. They reached tens of thousands of people where 75 souls were baptized into Christ, 400 rededicated their lives to Christ, and four congregations were united! He transformed members lives by motivating their full participation in the campaign through his delivery of "educational, inspirational and motivational" messages in sermons, rallies and workshops.
Brother Gadson is also known as "Mr.Enthusiastic" because of his passion, compassion and his energetic style as he ties in the Gospel through humor, stories, illustrations and anecdotes. In a simple way he encourages people to open up and receive the ingrafted word which is able to save their souls.
Brother Jonas Gadson was the featured keynote speaker for the 2003 Singles Conference at East Henrietta Road Church of Christ in Rochester, NY where he delivered six powerful messages to singles from around the country.
Also, in September 2004 he presented at the 28th Annual National Christian Singles Seminar put on by the Churches of Christ in California with over 300 attendees from every state in the nation. He delivered an electrifying message to a standing room only audience where he inspired single Christians to live a purposeful, powerful and positive life for Jesus Christ!
Just in 2004 alone, Brother Gadson delivered sermons and taught at tent meetings and campaigns for Churches of Christ in Buffalo, Syracuse, and Rochester, NY, in Boston, MA., Wilmington, Delaware, Anaheim,California, Leesburgh, Florida and Andrews, Johns Island, and Columbia, South Carolina as well as during a two week Gospel Tent Meeting in South Carolina.
Previously, Brother Gadson was a member of the East Henrietta Road Church of Christ in Rochester, NY for seven years, where Brother Jerry G. Houston is the Minister. There, Brother Gadson served as one of the associate ministers as well as the Minister of Evangelism where he taught other Christians how to be soul winners for Christ.
In 2005 Brother Gadson relocated to South Carolina to help take care of his 82 year old ill mother, and to help plant Churches of Christ in areas of South Carolina, particularly on St. Helena Island, where none had existed. He placed his membership at Johns Island Church of Christ in Johns Island, South Carolina where Brother Alfred Levine is Minister with elders, deacons and members of that congregation. He worked with this leadership as he launched the Mission Plan for the Master to plant churches in Beaufort, St. Helena Island, and in the surrounding areas. They are excited about the work and have given their total spiritual and evangelistic support. He planted the Beaufort Church of Christ in October 2005. Since that time, the Lord has blessed this work and he baptized 55 souls into Christ at the Beaufort Church of Christ, and 85 souls into Christ in other parts of South Carolina and across the country. A total of 140 souls baptized into Christ through this mission - To God be the Glory!
Besides being a man of God, he was a loving son to his mother, Mrs. Eliza Mary Gadson, who passed away in 2008, and he is a dedicated father to his daughter Ms. Chantieria Joanetta Gadson. His goal is to continue to be a dedicated servant and soldier of our Savior Jesus Christ; to build up God's Kingdom and God's people; and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ wherever he goes. He is truly one of God's "Stand In the Gap Men!"
